Factors Affecting the Cost of Your Ductless AC Installation
There are three main factors that affect the cost of ductless mini-split installation:
- Number of indoor units- Each indoor unit cools 1 room. The more rooms you need cooled, the more indoor units you’ll need and the more expensive your installation will be.
- Size of the system- “Size” refers to the cooling capacity or BTU output of a system. The “larger” the system (or more cooling capacity it has) the more expensive it will be.
- Energy efficiency- The energy efficiency of a ductless mini split system is measured by the SEER rating (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio). The higher the energy efficiency, the more expensive the ductless mini split system will be.
